Now Booking.com has become one of the most used platforms to find accommodation for their travels included me. Yesss, i have an experiences in using Booking.com for a several time.

Yes sure enough just pick a hotel, dates, insert your credit card details, arrive at the property, enjoy. And true, it can also be done this way, but if you keep reading, there is actually some tips you might learn, which might not only save you some money, but also land you in a much nicer hotel bedroom.

It sound great right? So can we start now?

1. GENIUS STATUS

Genius status is a loyalty status of the Booking.com website.

To achieve this status you only need to book your stay at five times within two years. Just be sure to log in with the same username every time you book.

So, these are some of the genius perks you get:

  • 10% discount on bookings
  • 2 hours earlier check in
  • 2 hours later check out
  • airport shuttle
  • welcome drinks
  • .;special booking.com phone number for genius members.

Simple, right?

2. USE YOUR SEARCH FILTERS SMARTLY

The filters are one of the best things about Booking.com

There are many filters, and they can help you in the best possible choice of your stay. Use them intelligently.

Budget: this filter depends on your availability. Not always, however, a expansive hotel is synonymous of quality

Location Score: is the specific position really important to you? If not, and you do not want to end up in a dodgy place, use the position score from 7 or 8 up. This will give you a wider area and help you find a good position that you may not have been aware of.

Rating: we advise you to use an average rating of at least 7.5. Customer ratings are the best advisor for you to make decision.
Try not to ever go below this threshold, so as to have a pleasant stay.

3. NOT ONLY HOTEL

Remember that on Booking.com there are not only hotels.
Sometimes it may be cheaper to reserve another type of structure

You can find Hotels, Apartments, Hostels, Holiday Homes, and B&B.

This type of choice, however, should not be dictated solely by the price. It may be more useful to take an apartment (often when you are more people this is the best choice), or decide to go to a hostel

4. BOOK LAST MINUTE (IF YOU CAN)

Of course, if you can.

If you are flexible, and the circumstances allow to wait with the booking until the very last moment, then do it! The hotels would usually offer discounts starting from 20% going all the way down to 60%. So you can save a lot of money or stay in a much nicer place than your budget would normally allow.

You can also book a structure that offers free cancellation, and 24 hours before the maximum date to be able to perform the cancellation, you can take a ride on booking.com and check if there is any last minute offer.

Advantages of Airbnb

Everyone who are like travelling usually know about Airbnb. Airbnb connect people who are looking for accommodation with the people who want to rent or booked their room or home in that location. Disrupting the lodging and hospitality industry, it was founded in San Francisco in 2008. Now it spans across 191 countries and 81,000 cities worldwide, creating a travel revolution. Here the advantages
of Airbnb.

ADVANTAGES

1.Great Range Of Properties

Airbnb lets the hosts list different kinds of properties such as apartments, a suite of rooms, single room, villas, houseboats and entire houses among others.
This gives the guests the liberty to look and book the space according to their requirements and want.

2.Full House Availability

With Airbnb, the hosts can rent out their entire house. With this full house, the guests can access kitchen, multiple bedrooms and washrooms, garden and pool among other facilities.
Staying at a place which lets the guests access the kitchen for making snacks, tea or meals helps them save money on food and gives their stay a wholesome feel. All they have to do is get the necessary groceries for whatever they plan to cook.

3.Free Listings

Hosts on Airbnb do not have to pay in order to list their property. Listings generally include photographs of the property with captions, written description and a user profile. Guests prefer going through this information as it helps them know about the property and the host. Customer can also write a comment and give a star according to their satisfaction.

4.Saves Money

When the costs of a hotel room versus Airbnb options are compared, Airbnb will always be a cheaper bet. It also helps the guests get more services for the money they paid, as they get more space, amenities, rooms and other facilities when compared to hotels. This makes the stay at Airbnb worthwhile.

5.Hosts Can Decide The Prices

Hosts have the liberty to decide how much they want to charge on weekdays, on weekends, per week or per month.

6.User-Friendly App And Website

Airbnb offers a very easy to use app and website to its users. People who are not familiar with using technology can also easily navigate through the app/website.
Guests can search for many things in the Airbnb database such as date, location, amenities, beds, baths, pet-friendly, type of property, price and the language of the host amongst others. Guests can even message the host before they arrive and inquire with their specific questions. They also get to see the reviews for the place and host which lets them know more about the property. There is also a detailed rating system for cleanliness, amenities, value, communication and more.

7.Protection For Hosts And Guests

As a way of protection, Airbnb holds the guest’s payments for 24 hours after their check-in before releasing the fee to the host.
For hosts, there is a program called Host Guarantee program. In eligible countries, it provides protection for up to $1,000,000 in damages to the property in the rare event of guest damage.

Disadvantages of Airbnb

Hii, im back!! Before this i already mention about advantages of Airbnb. However, not everything are perfect, there must be weakness in something. We have willing to face any bad possibility. When you know the weakness early, you can make a preparation to face the consequent.

DISADVANTAGES

1.You May Not Get What You See

Airbnb accommodations might not be as mentioned in the description or shown in photographs. As these listings are created by hosts themselves, some of them might not be as honest as they should be. The guests can understand more objectively about the property by going through comments and reviews of previous guests who have shared their experiences.

2.No Space To Leave Your Luggage

One of the cons of staying at an Airbnb property is that the guests will not get a place to keep their luggage after checkout.

If there is a huge gap between the return flight/train and your check out, you will have to carry your luggage with them and it can be irritating.

3.Hosts Can Cancel

The hosts can cancel anytime they want. This is a rare thing and it negatively impacts their ratings and reviews hence most hosts do not do this. Guests have to be careful when they choose a host with less or no reviews.

4.Potential Damage

The biggest risk for the host is the possibility of damage to the property. While most of the stays are peaceful and report no incidents, there have been few cases of houses being damaged by party-goers.
Airbnb’s Host Guarantee program, as mentioned above, does provide some coverage but it might not cover everything. Damage to the property can create a lot of inconvenience for the host.

5.Possible Legal Issues

Hosts have to check their local zoning ordinances to check if it is legal to rent out their properties before they put up their properties for listing on Airbnb. Hosts might have to get specific licenses and permits before renting out their properties.

Depending on your budget, preferences and reviews of the property you like, you can decide whether you should go for an Airbnb stay or a reputed hotel chain.

Tips To Finding Cheap Flight

For most trips, airfare is the most expensive part of the trip. While prices for transatlantic flights have gone down in recent years, they can still put a size able dent in any travel budget. Looking to vacation abroad, finding a cheap flight deal can be what makes or breaks your trip. After all, if your flight is too expensive, you’re likely going to keep putting the trip off. And yet every day, airlines have thousands of amazing deals from mistakenly published fares to special promotions to slashing prices to compete with another airline. Cheap fares are out and they can make your dream trip a reality if you know where to look.

Today, I am going to help you master the art of finding a cheap flight. These are the exact steps I’ve been following to get the cheapest airfare possible every time I fly. If you follow them too, you’ll never be the person on a flight who paid the most for their ticket!

1. Ignore the Myths

The first thing to know about finding a cheap flight is that there is no magic bullet or one secret ninja trick to doing so. There are a lot of myths online about how to find cheap flights. In fact, you’ve probably come across a ton of them on your search to find the best flight deal! Airlines used advanced computer and pricing algorithms to determine prices and run sales based on the time of the year, passenger demand, weather, major events/festivals, time of day, competitor prices, fuel prices, and much more. Those so-called “tricks” don’t work anymore. The system is too smart. Throw them out. Let them die.And don’t listen to anyone who tells you otherwise. Anyone who is telling you doesn’t know what they are talking about

2. Be Flexible with Your Travel Dates and Times

Airline ticket prices vary greatly depending on the day of the week, time of year, and upcoming holidays, such as Christmas, New Year’s Eve, Thanksgiving, or the Fourth of July. The solution is to fly off-season. Search alternative dates so that you can capitalize on the best day. The more rigid your plans, the less likely it will be that you find a deal.

Moreover, it’s almost always cheaper to fly during the middle of the week than on a weekend because most people travel on the weekends and airlines hike their prices then. Prices are also cheaper if you fly after a major holiday as are early-morning or late-night flights are cheaper because fewer people want to travel then (who wants to wake up early?!) In short, the difference of one day can mean hundreds of dollars in savings.

3. Fly Budget Carriers

Years ago, if you wanted to fly between continents, you were mostly stuck with traditional expensive airlines. That’s no longer true. Budget airlines now service many long-haul routes, making it possible to fly around the world for very little money.
AirAsia offers crazy-cheap deals around Asia and Australia for under RM500 each way.
These days, you can fly most of the way around the world on a budget airline.

Sure, they might not be as comfortable and you may need to pay for premium upgrades like checked bags and meals, but they bring the world to your doorstep without breaking the bank.
Be flexible with your dates and you’ll likely be able to save yourself some money.

4. Use Points and Miles

No matter how often you fly, you should be signed up for a reward program. You don’t need to do any extra spending either. I earn a point from AirAsia when i sign in for AirAsia Big and purchase a flight tickets. If you are smart with your money and collect points and miles you can travel around the world for very little (and often free)

5. Book Early…But Not Too Early

Airline fares will keep rising the closer you get to departure, but there is a sweet spot when the airlines begin to either lower or increase fares based on demand. Don’t wait until the last second but don’t book far, far in advance either. The best time to book your flight is around 6–8 weeks before your departure, or around three months before if you are going to your destination during their peak season.
